Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. was founded at Howard University on January 16, 1920 by Arizona Cleaver Stemons, Pearl Anna Neal, Myrtle Tyler Faithful, Viola Tyler Goings and Fannie Pettie Watts referred to as the “Five Pearls”.
Scholarship, Sisterly love, Service and Finer womanhood are the founding principles and continue to guide the organization in local and national programs and partnerships such as March of Dimes, Zetas helping others excel (ZHOPE) and college scholarships.
